A little-under-a-month after its launch in San Francisco, consumers will be able to get hold of their Google Pixel 2 in India, starting today, 1st November, 2017. The phone will be available online exclusively on Flipkart and at Reliance Digital, Croma, Poorvika, Sangeetha Mobiles, Vijay Sales and numerous other offline retail stores across India.
Pixel 2 64GB (Rs.61,000) and Pixel 2 128GB (Rs.70,000) will be made available in three colour variants – Just Black, Clearly White and Kinda Blue. Also on offer are attractive financing options from HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance and other leading institutions.
Running on Android Oreo, Pixel 2 has a cinematic 5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) AMOLED 16:9 display, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 12MP f/1.8 rear camera with optical + electronic stabilization, 8MP f/2.4 front camera, stereo front-firing speakers, Wi-Fi 2.4/5GHz 802.11 a/b/c/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 2,700mAH battery. The phone uses an aluminium unibody with a hybrid coating and is IP67 water- and dust-resistant.
The phone is backed by a full 2-year warranty.
Google Pixel 2 brings the best of hardware and software together to create a phone that is smart yet simple and safe. Pixel 2 is loaded with the highest-rated camera that not only lets you take great pictures but helps you understand the world around you, a battery that lasts all day, and an Assistant that helps you get more work done.
With Pixel 2, you can take the best photos and videos. And with all of those great photos, Google is once again providing free unlimited storage for photos and videos taken on Pixel, in the highest resolution.
Google Pixel 2 also includes Google Lens – a new set of visual features that help you learn more about the world around you and get things done. You can also take an action like asking Google Lens to copy URLs and contact information from a picture of a poster or business card. Over just the next few months, Google will add more capabilities, as well as the ability to use it in the Google Assistant.
Pixel 2 also has Assistant built right in – and now it’s even easier to access with a new feature called Active Edge. Just give the phone a quick squeeze, and ask for what you need. This works even when your phone is in a case. In the coming weeks, Assistant on Pixel will also be able to help with your daily routines – using simple phrases you could trigger actions during the morning, your commute, when you get home and more. The Google Assistant on Pixel not only understands you better but can also be more personal to you, helping you get more done at any time.
