MSH to accelerate XR tech startups with Meta

In collaboration with Meta, the MeitY Startup Hub (MSA) will launch a program to support and accelerate XR technology startups across India, as part of the government’s efforts for skilling in emerging and future technologies.

Extended reality, or XR, is an emerging field of technology that combines real and virtual environments. The term is also used to refer to human-machine interactions generated through wearables and computer technology.

The MeitY Startup Hub is a national platform focused on promoting technology innovation, start-ups, and the creation of intellectual properties. Currently, it has around 3,000+ tech startups, and it is envisioning to ramp it up to more than 10,000 startups in the next three to five years.

The MeitY Startup Hub aims to serve as an integrating platform for startups and incubators. The IT Ministry said, “The program will be announced on 13 September 2022. Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar, and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Joel Kaplan, Vice President, Global Policy, Meta, will be present on the occasion.”
