UPSC website hacked by a teenager

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police for hacking the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) website on September 10 for a few hours and then quickly restored it. UPSC is the country's premium recruitment agency that is set up to conduct recruitment processes and examinations for various central government jobs. Earlier this year in April the official website of the Supreme Court of India was also hacked.
The website was hacked on September 10, but the incident came to light only when students took to twitter to share the screenshots of the hacked website. The hacked website displayed an image of a heart and cartoon character, Doraemon with the caption- “Doraemon!!!! Pick up the call” and “I m stewpeed” written on the image of the homepage.
The juvenile is from Uttar Pradesh and is pursuing a technical course from a central university in Delhi and stayed in a rented house. The boy's father, a businessman who lives abroad, has been informed about the incident.
A police officer confirms that with the help of technical surveillance, police have traced and apprehended him. The juvenile has been produced in front of the Juvenile Justice Board and handed over to his brother, who is a software engineer.
The boy has confessed to the police that he had recently learned about hacking from the Internet and was trying to hack several government websites for the last three weeks. Ultimately, he found the Commission's website was vulnerable and hacked it.
