Facebook is plotting an Unified MasterPlan to Integrate Its 'Family of Apps'

Facebook is reportedly working on the plan to integrate its family apps WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger apps together. Is not it an incredible Idea.

Facebook ranked No. 76 in the 2018 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total revenue. Most of Facebook's revenue comes from advertising. Facebook generally has a lower clickthrough rate (CTR) for advertisements than most major websites. The banner advertisements on Facebook have generally received one-fifth the number of clicks compared to those on the Web as a whole. Although specific comparisons can reveal a much larger disparity. A study found that, for video advertisements on Facebook, over 40% of users who viewed the videos viewed the entire video, while the industry average was 25% for in-banner video ads

A portion of Facebook revenue also comes from the "firehose" access, bulk access to the social media data sold to the third parties.

A big part of Facebook's pitch is that it has so much information about its users that it can more effectively target ads to those who will be responsive to the content.

In April 2012, Facebook acquired Instagram for approximately US$1 billion in cash and stock.

In February 2014, Facebook announced that it would be buying mobile messaging company WhatsApp for US$19 billion in cash and stock.

Together, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, have more than 2.6 billion users. And three of those are among the world’s largest messaging networks. Mark Zuckerberg, the man who owns them all, recently announced his company’s plans to integrate the messaging apps thereby allowing users across different messaging platforms to communicate with each other.

Facebook is reportedly working on the plan to integrate WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger apps. We have deep dived into the matter to understand what's Facebook up to and how the super integration could result in generating revenue for the social media giant, but raising security and data privacy issues.

It’s indeed hard to believe that ONE man sitting at a single place,OVERSEES how nearly a third of the world’s population interacts with each other in the online space.

There is ONE long year to go before we can see what the unified Facebook app platform looks like. Till then, we can only wish that the social media giant accompany in these changes without endangering users’ security and privacy !  And, if Zuckerberg makes it happen without any hiccups, your 24/7 availability on the internet is guaranteed.

Who is actually going to benefit from the ‘super integration‘?

Does the integration cause more serious privacy concerns among users?

What is about User Data & Security ?

These are the Major Questions for the  Futuristic Super Powered Social Media Integration Platform.
