A few major North Korean websites, including that of the country's Foreign Ministry and Korean Central News Agency, went offline on Tuesday morning for an unknown reason, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported.
There were reports of failures in connecting to the websites with domain names ending with ".kp".
“As of 9 a.m., there were failures in connecting to North Korean domain names ending in ".kp," such as the official Korean Central News Agency and the main newspaper, the Rodong Sinmun, reported Yonhap News Agency.
The exact cause for the problem was not immediately confirmed.
In January 2022 too, the North's major websites reportedly suffered a similar problem due to a suspected distributed denial-of-service attack.
